I decided to get my mail from my curbside box when I came home despite my new next door neighbors’ open garage door — my anxieties and whatnot. Out popped an nice older lady and we chatted briefly, thinking she was the new neighbor and tell me about her husband, etc. And I made the mistake of letting her know I live alone.

Turns out she’s the mother of the new neighbors, and they are on vacation.

Ooops (don't be like me, Oppo).

Knowing mom s being moms, she going to tell them all about me. Oh well, so much for minding my own business.

Here’s a gift for reading:

Back when the Model 3 Performance and Giulia Quadrifoglio were both close to $80k. Now the Tesla is $55k and the Alfa... well...

A 2018 Guilia Quadrifolio can be had in the same price range with warranty , you don’t have to wait for delivery, and you can drive further, faster* and refuel quicker.

Having said that, you’re still right. I just wish Tesla’s had on board generator like a hydrogen engine as an option, until technology and infrastructure catches up. And work on their fit and finish. And their public labor issues. And I wish Musk would just STFU.

You’re also right except for the fit and finish. By now they’ve figured it out. Is the car especially luxurious? No, but it is well put together. Do you take road trips more than extremely rarely and don’t have another car? You’re stuck with an ICE.

Comparing brand new to even slightly used in this space is futile. I’m guessing brand new Giulia money gets you in a 2018 E63 or something like that. There’s no doubt the Tesla comes out ahead in cost of ownership, and now it’s way cheaper up front, too.
